Esenboğa Airport starts to host Kiev flights of Ukraine International Airlines

Operated by TAV Airports, Ankara Esenboğa Airport started hosting Ukraine International Airlines’ flights from Kiev. Ukrainian Airlines will be operating direct reciprocal flights from Esenboğa Airport to Kiev every day.

Ankara Esenboğa Airport, which is operated by TAV Airports, welcomed the first flight of Ukraine International Airlines arriving from Kiev. The flight landed to Esenboğa Airport with 115 passengers at 10:55 pm on Sunday, October 30th, 2016. TAV Esenboğa, Ukrainian Embassy and Development Agency executives welcomed passengers and the cabin crew who arrived at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The passengers were welcomed with flowers and treated a cake to celebrate the flights that connect the capital cities of the two countries.

Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha stated: “We are happy to have flights that connect Kiev and Ankara, the capital cities of the two countries. Launching these direct flights during this positive period of Turkey and Ukraine in terms of social and economic conditions is a constructive step for both countries." Celebrating the 93rd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, Sybiha added: "I would like to thank all officials for their kind and warm hospitality."

TAV Esenboğa General Manager Nuray Demirer expressed: “We are connected to 37 domestic destinations as well as 28 international destinations at 17 countries with direct flights. We are glad to welcome Kiev flights of Ukrainian Airlines. TAV Esenboğa will continue to provide direct flight comfort to the passengers by adding new destinations to its flight network."

Ukraine International Airlines will be flying passengers from Esenboğa Airport directly to Kiev every day throughout the season.

Esenboğa Airport hosted approximately 12.3 million passengers and 88,000 flights in 2015.
